YOUR FIRST VISIT

Your initial evaluation consists of one hour of dedicated time with one of our Doctors.

Your first visit will include a digital posture analysis, health history, examination, chiropractic adjustment and treatment recommendations. The doctor will answer any questions or concerns you may have prior to initiating treatment.

Be ready to provide your health history, which will be essential for preparing a course of treatment for you. Health records, such as diagnostic test results, or imaging results, such as X-rays and MRIs, also will provide important information about your spinal health.

Your evaluation will include a series of tests to help determine your range of motion, muscle tone and strength, and integrity of your nervous system. Any abnormalities could provide clues about your spinal health.

After reviewing your postural analysis and your evaluation, the doctor will explain how routine activities can regularly cause misalignments of the spine, how a chiropractic adjustment is used to correct them, and the many benefits chiropractic care has to offer.

Your doctor may also consult with you about making important lifestyle changes, such as exercise, nutrition, and smoking cessation to improve your chances of healing faster or preventing further injury.

Rest assured, should the need for further testing or a second opinion be warranted, you will be referred to the appropriate health care provider and/or facility, when indicated.

Chiropractic Care

The goal of the chiropractic adjustment is to correct spinal subluxations, also known as joint restrictions. These misalignments create undue stress and irritation on the nervous system, creating pain and dysfunction. Our Doctors of Chiropractic implement a variety of manual (hands on) and instrument adjustment techniques. These techniques are delivered through the gentle application of a targeted motion where and when indicated to achieve improved alignment and motion of the spine and extremities. Along with this, you can expect overall improved nervous system function and improvement of your body’s physical function.

This state-of-the-art tool is designed to treat issues caused by tension, tight muscles, and spams. It is a nonsurgical treatment that uses high-frequency sound waves. RRT is the innovator of targeted, high speed vibration therapy. Its high-frequency waves trigger a neurological response known as the tonic vibration response (TVR), which quickly relaxes muscle spasms.

Intersegmental traction tables gently help re-establish the normal functional motion of the spine. This modality also helps to facilitate muscle relaxation, decrease tissue swelling and reduce muscle spasms. Intersegmental traction tables mobilize the spinal column while simultaneously and gently stretching ligaments and muscles. Intersegmental traction tables promote increased blood flow and oxygen to discs, ligaments, and muscles, thereby improving balance, strength, and mobility. The contact pressure or “height” of the rollers on the table can be adjusted to make this therapy very effective, relaxing and comfortable for the patient.

Trigger points are tiny knots that develop in a muscle when it is injured or overworked. Commonly a cause of joint pain, trigger points can be the underlying cause of headaches, neck pain, low back pain, tennis elbow and carpal tunnel syndrome. Our skilled massage therapists utilize optimally developed techniques to reduce the irritation caused by trigger points.
